President's Message: ARIN Statement on Ebola
On Oct. 15, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that a second nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas tested positive for Ebola. The nurse was a member of the health care team providing care to Thomas Eric Duncan, the patient from Liberia, who died on Oct. 8. ARIN offers our support to the nurses, families, colleagues and communities affected at this difficult time.
This situation is rapidly evolving. ARIN is undertaking the task to send our membership correct information on patient care from the CDC, ANA, and other regulatory bodies as we receive it. We encourage all our members to stay current and review information as it is received.
