Radiology Nurse

Nurse Wright attended the Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2007. After graduating he obtained a position in a Trauma, Neuro, Cardiovascular ICU in Cleveland, Ohio where he practiced for 3 years. After 5 years of ICU work, including travel nursing, he was offered a position as the Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Educator and Charge Nurse at El Camino Hospital’s 24 bed ICU with a Cardiovascular Surgery program that was rated top 5% in the country. He then spent a year working as the Northern California Educator for Cheetah Medical’s NICOM Technology.  After 10 years of ICU service, he then obtained a position at UC Davis Medical Center’s Department of Radiology where he has practiced for the last 6 years. His current focus is working with the pediatric anesthesia patient population as well as vascular access in both the pediatric and adult populations. In August 2020, Douglas was awarded the prestigious DAISY Award for his peds service at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. In 2020 Douglas created and continues to teach the continuing education class “Workflows and Emergent Scenarios during Pediatric Anesthesia in Radiology” at UCDMC/CSC.
