Lucina has been a nurse for 30 years and is currently an Interventional Radiology clinical level 3/charge nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Lucina earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mercy College of Dobbs Ferry, New York, Certified Radiology Nurse certification from Radiologic Certification Board, Inc and a nursing diploma from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing, Montclair, New Jersey.

For the past 7 years, Lucina has been a charge nurse in the vascular/neurological interventional radiology department at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to that, she held the position of clinical nurse level 2/preceptor for 16 years. Her other nursing positions included clinical nurse level 1 in the adult surgical/medical ICU.

Lucina has lectured at numerous nursing grand rounds conferences on a, inter hospital level at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Lectures range from podium to zoom conferences. Most recently in the year of 2021, she presented via zoom a slide presentation entitled “A Brighter Treatment for Type 1 Diabetes: Islet Cell Transplant.”

Lucina is a member of the Association for Radiology Nursing, Clinical Ladder Committee at New York Presbyterian Hospital and the New York State Nurses Association.
