Needlesticks are the number six  source of patient healthcare dissatisfaction on a recent national patient satisfaction survey yet multiple needlestick are an accepted practice when a patient needs IV access. This poster examines the setup, implementation and data gathering of a dedicated vascular access team with an emphasis on decreasing costly, painful IV access.
