Kate McEachern, RN, BSNNurseBoston Childrens Hospital |
I am a staff RN, BSN at Boston Childrens Hospital, in the Interventional Radiology department. I have been an employee at Boston Childrens Hospital since 2000, where I worked during nursing school as a clinical assistant on both the infant/surgical floor, as well as NICU. In 2003, I started as a new graduate RN in the NICU at Boston Childrens. During my time there, I pursued many nursing leadership opportunities including advancement to staff nurse II. I also applied and was accepted as one of the Clinical Resource Nurses in the NICU. I left Boston Childrens NICU in 2017, and joined the MassGeneral Brigham Hospital group and became an employee in the Special Care Nursery. During my time there, I served as Charge Nurse, and assisted in unit based education and policy changes. Currently I am still employed at MassGeneral Brigham as a per diem RN, however I rejoined the Boston Childrens Hospital family in 2019 as a member of the Interventional Radiology team. As a member of the nursing team in Interventional Radiology I represent our as a Magnet champion, and am actively involved in education dissemination throughout our institution. |
