The Association for Radiologic & Imaging Nursing (ARIN) is seeking Editorial Board members for the Journal of Radiology Nursing (JRN). Editorial Board members are appointed to 1-year term; terms are renewable. Editorial Board members report to the Editor of JRN.
Duties
Duties of the Editorial Board Members include:
_ Reviewing manuscripts for relevance, accuracy and content and sending reviewer comments and recommendations to the editor
_ Promoting JRN to all nurses, other health care providers, and the public community
_ Mentoring novice authors
_ Writing a manuscript(s) or book review(s)
_ Being proactive to recruit authors
_ Attending the annual Editorial Board meeting, either in person/by conference call
_ Carrying out special duties as requested by the editor
Qualifications
Editorial Board members must meet the following qualifications:
_ Registered professional nurse or other professional (e.g., radiologist, technologist, physicist, pharmacist, administrator, attorney, anesthesiologist)
_ Experience: Radiological practice in areas of education, practice, advocacy, administration, or research sufficient to develop considerable expertise in the area preferred. (Exception: applicants from non-nursing disciplines.)
_ Prior editorial board membership is beneficial _ Writing: Documented writing ability as evidenced by publication
in a peer-reviewed journal or book.
_ ARIN involvement: Membership for a minimum of 1 year.
