It is also the time of year to apply for the Alan Gold Scholarship. Two scholarships are offered at each of our conferences to honor Alan Gold RN.
The Alan Gold, RN Scholarship-
Alan Gold, RN served on the NEC-ARIN Board of Directors and was a supporter of professional development for radiology nursing and advocated for nurses' involvement at both the local and national levels.
To honor the memory of Alan Gold, NEC-ARIN will sponsor the attendance of two nurses to receive a conference fee waiver for the educational event.
To qualify for this scholarship, the recipient must be a member of both ARIN and NEC-ARIN. Please submit a brief statement of how memberhsip and particiapation at the local and national levels of these organizations have helped you meet your professional goals per the mission statements here below:
The purpose of The New England Chapter of the Association for Radiologic and Imaging Nursing is to promote high quality care in diagnostic and therapeutic imaging environments, to help refine and implement local and national standards of care in these environments, and to provide opportunities for the growth and development of our imaging nurses.
The NEW-ARIN objectives mirror the core values of ARIN: a commitment to professionalism, responsiveness and technological advances, leadership in a constantly evolving environment and advocacy for safe care for patients and families.
